Again we subconsciously decided to wake again this morning around 5:30 AM, we thought by going to bed later last night it would allow for a sleep in but not as yet, hopefully tomorrow. After a relaxing morning in the Millard's home we headed off into the country-side close by and explored Runnymede, Windsor and Runnymede RAF memorial.
Runnymede is the location where the Magna Carta was signed.
Windsor was in a buzz, and was great to see so many people enjoying the day. Tony did a fantastic job finding a car park along the side of the river, where we had a short walk and had a lovely picnic of ham and cheese sandwiches.
Unfortunately Elizabeth was not home for a cuppa but we did drop by and looked up her address.
Liz are you home? |
After Windsor we headed for the Runnymeade Air Forces Memorial
This memorial was a great testament to the 20,000 airmen from the commonwealth that lost their lives in WW2.
The view was spectacular |

Today was a fantastic day, and tomorrow will bring a new tour guide.
